Hypervisor bypass guide for HV repacks

Use this page when an HV release asks you to run VBS.cmd, disable driver signature enforcement, or restore Windows security settings after playing.

Manual launcher steps

Having issues with the launcher?

Step 1

Enable CPU virtualization

Check your BIOS or UEFI settings and enable VT-x on Intel systems, or AMD-V/SVM on AMD systems.

Step 2

Run the included script

Open VBS.cmd from the installed game folder. If your copy is outdated, download the current script from the original guide.

Step 3

Apply the temporary changes

Choose option 1 in the script, reboot, then press F7 in the boot menu to disable driver signature enforcement for that session.

Step 4

Launch and play

Start the game from the executable supplied with the repack, usually inside the bin folder.

Step 5

Revert after playing

Run VBS.cmd again, choose option 3 to restore the changed settings, then reboot back into normal secure mode.

What it means

What is a Hypervisor bypass?

A Hypervisor bypass is a crack method that runs below parts of the operating system through virtualization. It can intercept or mask low-level behavior that anti-tamper systems inspect, which is why it needs deeper system access than a normal game launcher.

Hypervisor bypass releases use low-level virtualization and a custom driver to make protected games run.

Because this works near the kernel and CPU virtualization layer, Windows security features may need to be temporarily relaxed.

Those changes reduce protection while active, so the safest workflow is to apply them only for play sessions and revert them immediately after.
